Bookings and Purchases

Rallies and Training Sessions

All our activities can be booked through the CHHPC Calendar.  Rallies are listed by discipline,  as well as by date in the calendar.

Organisers contact details can be found on the Meet the Team page but you should have all the information you require on the calendar. Please remember that all organisers are volunteers and your email or voice message will be dealt with as soon as possible and calls after 9pm are not generally well-received!

Pony club uniform, hairnets, dark gloves and whip and all appropriate safety wear are obligatory for all members at any pony club event.  Tack must be safe, dark and bling-free,  you can see more information about what is required for specific rallies on the Tack and Turnout Guidelines section of our website.

A Rally  is basically a lesson taken by an instructor. A Mini Rally is likely to be a combination of flatwork, pole work, small jumps and may sometimes include working towards a badge. A 9+ Rally will focus on a specific discipline e.g. Show Jumping taken by a more specific instructor. These rallies are open to all members that fit the criteria stated on the booking form. These are fun and totally inclusive. We do insist that if you would like to attend camp or represent the CHHPC in teams that you attend at least 3 rallies in the year.

A Training Session is put on specifically for members aiming for a specific Team Event and is more likely to be invite only.  For example; all the team members who are representing the CHHPC in an Area competition will be required to attend a training session. Some Training Sessions will be put on for those wishing to start representing CHHPC in teams as well.

Booking Process

We now operate an on-line booking process. You can book one rally at a time or several in one go.   Bookings and payments for all CHHPC activities can be made through the website.

    • Bookings will be taken up to 7 days before a Rally or Training Session
    • If a rally can only take limited numbers and is full at the time of booking, members can opt to go on the waitlist and will be notified as and when a place is available
    • Refunds will be given up to 7 days before a rally
    • Times will be emailed to the address provided with the booking 7 days before the rally (and no less than 48 hours before). An idea of times will be in the information provided at the time of booking.
    • ALL attendees have to have paid for the rally online
    • If there are less than 3 in a group – the organising committee have the authority to cancel that group up to 48 hours before the rally

These guidelines are in place so that the organiser has time to create the groups, confirm venue and instructor(s) depending on numbers.

Events and Shows hosted by other Pony Club branches will be displayed on our Events Calendar. There will be full schedules, websites and downloadable entry forms.

If you are having a problem making a booking on the website please contact website@chhpc.org.

Rally and Training Times

Times will be emailed out to the address you have provided with your booking 7 days before the Rally.

Please do not request changes to the groupings, the organisers have a number of things to take into consideration when putting groups together,  and are not able to make last minute changes.

Please ensure you are in correct Pony Club attire. You will not be allowed to ride if your horse tack is deemed unsafe by either the organiser or instructor or your hat does not meet the correct standard, please see more here.

Reasonable Adjustments

The Pony Club is committed to ensuring that, wherever possible, members are able to access all aspects of the Branch and Centre activities we offer. Reasonable Adjustments are any actions that help to reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty.  Reasonable Adjustments can be used for the Pony Club Tests and should be approved in advance of the Test taking place.  Reasonable Adjustments can also be used to allow for members to take part in activities or competitions. As with Tests, these adjustments should be approved in advance of the activity or competition.

How to apply for a Reasonable Adjustment

The application is via the Reasonable Adjustment Application Form. This Form must be submitted, accompanied by the member’s Personal Profile and relevant documents from a healthcare professional, to the relevant person (Test Organiser, Competition Secretary, Rally Organiser) at least two weeks before the activity is due to take place.

More information, including the forms, can be found here:
